Eight to forty in a room. In memory care, smaller is better, and I would rather do two small sittings than one big one.

Do you have insurance and clearances?

Yes. Liability insurance, background check and current clearances are on file and sent to your executive director before the first visit.

Can you do a Spanish afternoon?

Yes, and for a lot of Central Florida communities that is the one that fills the room. Boleros, hymns and standards, with the introductions in Spanish too.

For senior living communities

Programming your residents actually turn up for.

Teri Rosado provides live music programming for assisted living, memory care and independent living communities around Orlando: singalong afternoons, themed sets, small memory care sittings and bilingual Spanish programmes. Insurance and clearances are provided before the first visit.

Activity directors tell me the same thing: the calendar is full and the room is still half empty. Residents can tell the difference between somebody filling a slot and somebody who learned their songs.

I write songs for a living and I run a home care company, so I am not a visiting act who leaves at the hour mark. I know what a resident with mid stage dementia can follow, and I know when to slow down and let a room finish a verse on its own.

Singalong afternoon. Forty five to sixty minutes, decades based, the songs the room actually grew up with.
Memory care sitting. Small group, quieter, slower, built around individual histories your team supplies.
Bilingual Spanish programme. Boleros, hymns and standards, with introductions in Spanish.
Family event music. Open houses, holidays, memorial services and family nights.
Staff and family education. A short honest talk on using music at the hard end of the day, without calling it therapy.
