Paying for care

Nobody has the same budget. So nobody should get the same page.

Families in Orlando pay for in home care one of four ways: out of pocket, through a long term care insurance policy, through Veterans benefits such as Aid and Attendance, or a combination while they work it out. Which one applies to you changes what happens next, so start with the question below.

Start here

How is care being paid for?

This is the question that decides everything else. Pick the one that sounds closest and I will send you down the right path instead of a general enquiry form.

Choose how care is being paid for

One thing worth saying early

Medicare does not pay for this kind of care.

Medicare covers short term skilled care after a hospital stay, ordered by a doctor. It does not cover ongoing non medical help at home: the companionship, the personal care, the somebody there in the afternoon.

Most families find this out on a bad week. Better to know now, so the plan you make is a real one.

We are also not set up to bill Medicaid or Medicare, so if that is the only route we will tell you straight away instead of booking a call. And we do not provide skilled nursing care: we partner with skilled care providers and can point you to the right one.

Still not sure which one you are?

Say that on a call and we will work it out in twenty minutes. Bring whatever paperwork you have, even if it is a shoebox.
