One line
Songwriter with a Billboard number one, and the owner of a home care company in Orlando, bringing music into dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Short bio, use as is
Teri Rosado is a songwriter and the owner of HomeWell Care Services in Orlando. She has written a Billboard number one for a Latin artist, and released a song of her own written during cancer treatment. Today she works where those two things meet: bringing music into dementia and Alzheimer's care, in English and in Spanish, for families across Central Florida.
Long bio
Teri Rosado writes songs and runs a home care company, and she came to both the same way: sitting with people who were frightened, and finding out that music got through when words could not.
As a writer she has a Billboard number one to her name, written for a Latin artist. As an artist she released a song written during her own cancer treatment, in one afternoon, and heard back from women her age who had been through the same rooms.
As an owner she runs HomeWell Care Services, providing non medical in home care across Orlando and Central Florida with her partner Martin Mudd, who leads their work with veterans and surviving spouses on VA Aid and Attendance. The household conversation and the paperwork both happen in English or in Spanish, whichever the family speaks at the kitchen table.
Her subject is what music does in dementia and Alzheimer's care: not as therapy language, but as the moment a room of people finishes a verse nobody expected them to remember.
Boilerplate, for the end of a release
Teri Rosado is an Orlando songwriter and the owner of HomeWell Care Services, providing non medical in home care across Central Florida in English and in Spanish. She works at the point where music meets dementia and Alzheimer's care, and writes about caregiving, memory and the year her own diagnosis rearranged everything. More at terirosado.com.

Story angles
The songwriter who runs a care company
A Billboard number one writer who now runs in home care in Orlando, and who does not treat those as two careers.
Music in dementia care, without calling it therapy
What actually happens when a room of residents finishes a verse nobody expected them to remember, told carefully and without overclaiming.
The song she wrote for herself during treatment
Written in one afternoon on the back of an appointment sheet, and the letters that arrived afterwards from women her age.
Spanish speaking families and care in Central Florida
What changes for a household when the care conversation and the paperwork happen in their own language.
A song for someone you love
The intake that starts with a memory instead of a budget, and what it tells a caregiver about the person in the bed.
Questions she likes being asked
- What happens in a room when a song someone has not heard in forty years starts playing?
- You write songs and you run a care company. When did those stop being two separate jobs?
- What did the cancer year change about how you sit with somebody who is frightened?
- What do families get wrong about arranging care at home, and what would you tell them instead?
- What changes for a household when the whole conversation happens in Spanish?
- What is the one thing you wish more people knew about caregivers?

The identity
Why the mark looks like this.
Three arcs opening upward from one point on a threshold line. Read one way it is sound leaving a source and filling a room. Read the other way it is a doorway you are welcome through.
The arcs get heavier as they get smaller, so the eye travels inward to the gold one: the small thing that carries. That is the song.
Nothing in it says medical. No cross, no heart, no clipboard. It has to sit on a piece of sheet music and on a care agreement without changing its voice.
It is drawn with two stroke weights and one gold hairline so it survives at 16 pixels in a browser tab and at three metres on a stage screen.
